An area of our web site that is under utilised is our financial calculators. There are 11 calculators under the ‘Calculators‘ tab.

Richard originally developed these when he was in hospital following a ski accident and in was in traction for 10 days back in 1998 with a ruptured disc. The code is written in Javascript.

The most frequently referred to calculators are; retirement, savings, own or lease.

If you want to find out the future value of an item the savings calculator gives you this. Input the inflation rate (we assume long term it will be 2%) into the ‘return net of tax’ box.  Maybe you want to see the financial impact of your daily coffee and muffin. Then go to the ‘bad habits calculator‘ and substitute coffee for ‘cigarettes’.

For investors you should always have an idea of your risk/return investment profile. There are two aspects to the amount of risk you should be prepared to take when investing. We refer to this as your risk capacity and risk tolerance. The ‘risk/return profile‘ calculator is a useful tool, it gives a good assessment. For existing and new clients we ask them to do a more comprehensive and scientifically validated investment risk-return profile assessment using a psychometric questionnaire.

Check out the calculators we believe you will find them useful.
